Abbey was a rescue that was saved from a shelter when she was 10 months old. She was full of life but did not trust people and was fearful. She was so smart and active that she quickly learned how to do agility. Abbey loved agility – it built up her self confidence and she was able to run around and be silly. Her favorite agility course was one of all tunnels and jumps because she could go really fast! She competed in several agility trials and actually won some ribbons.
In April of 2009, she lost her eye sight which ended her agility career. But, that didn’t keep her down. Abbey continued to run on trails, jump boulders and play with her siblings. Abbey never let her blindness slow her down. Her doctors were amazed at what she was still able to do. Abbey passed away at a young 4.5 yrs old. Abbey, we will miss you!
Rest in peace my little Aussie.
